    What Are Check Valves?
All check valves functions as backflow control but it can't control back pressure. It is a kind of valve which only allows flow in single direction. However, it is not doable to release low pressure concentrate into a higher pressure line. Even though a this kind of valve is set up next to a steam trap, concentrate will not run if the force on the upstream of the trap is lesser than the down flow portion. It is important to observe that whenever a this kind of valve is set up at the opening of a trap working under a very large degree of difference pressure, the valve itself turn into a point of resistance; the valve may have a pressure drop too, this means that calculating pressure drop very cautiously is necessary. Primarily check valves are designed for protection purposes; to avoid backflow and to make sure that somebody working in the system is sensitive which way fluids and gases are running through. Most valves of this kind are set up in residential sewer lines to help

    An Introduction to Ball Valves
Ball valves are used in almost every process in engineering where flow control is a requirement. Its invention and development has been on for decades and even as of today, the basic design and principle of this instrument of flow control has remained the same, with the exception of different variations of flow control. The Principle of Flow Control Operation This device consists of basically a spherical disk with a through hole which is installed within the casting of the device, which together makes up what we call the entire flow control system. The flow of fluid through pipelines can be controlled in terms of flow volume, or if necessarily, total cut-off, but adjusting the level or handle at the top of the device. The level or handle of the valve is connected to the spherical disk

Which one do you prefer, Ball Valve or Gate Valve?
One of the most common problems we deal with on a regular basis is the replacement of old shutoff valves. When installing or replacing a shutoff valve, there is a choice to be made: ball valve or gate valve? Since water essentially wreaks havoc on on your entire plumbing system, having the proper valve in place will help delay problems down the road. The gate valve has been around for a long time, and is slowly becoming obsolete. The design of the ball valve makes it superior to the gate, and almost always lasts longer and causes fewer problems. A ball valve utilizes a sphere with a hole in it to control flow. When the handle is turned parallel with the valve, the hole is open to flow. When the handle is turned a 1/4 turn, the sphere is also turned and the hole is now perpendicular to the valve and flow is stopped. Ball valves can almost always be operated after years of disuse and do not typically get locked in position. A gate valve uses an internal gate that moves up and down on the stem. The stem is connected to the handle which screws the gate up or down, opening and closing the gate. The gate valve has a few disadvantages. The big
